This does not sound like a normal noise to hear. We'd recommend checking to make sure that your unit is on a flat surface and that it has the proper air clearance around it. Posted .We know your microwave not working as expected must be very concerning, and we want to assist. If the microwave isn’t coming on at all, you may want to check the fuse or circuit breaker for any issues. You can also try disconnecting the unit from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often assist with a temporary issue. Additional troubleshooting tips are available on page 14 of the manual, which you can view on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you’re not able to resolve the issue and think you may need to take advantage of the warranty, information on that is available on page 15 of the manual. -Sarah@GEAppliances
