I bought this as a replacement for a 12 year old GE Microwave based on the great experience we had with the previous model. The old one was actually still working, but it was not powerful enough anymore to cook baked potatoes or make popcorn. Because my elderly mom will be the primary user, we had to pick an easy to use model and this one fits the bill. By the way, the old one is being recycled for use at my brother's auto shop office to heat his lunch and warm up his coffee.

This microwave is easy to use. The light comes on when you open the door to put food in. When I was shopping I saw several that only turn the light on after you hit start, that is, while the food is cooking. It has a Kitchen Timer, which I wanted, and some don't. The stainless steel case makes it an attractive addition to the kitchen. Best Buy offered this at a good price too. I'm very pleased.
