The old one was bigger than we needed (we are now empty nesters) and we also are upgrading all our appliances to stainless steel. So this new GE fits perfectly, works exceptionally well (faster than our old GE). Our only peev is that it is so light, the microwave slides a bit on the counter when you push the door open button. So an improvement would be 'stickier' or larger feet on it's base to prevent this. Otherwise, the microwave is perfect for our needs.

Usually it is a one-touch function set to 3 minutes. This comes up as 1.75, then you hit Start, then it changes to 1.15. Apparently pushing it more times increases the time. But all that makes it more confusing that just pushing the 3 button. Otherwise we like the oven very much.
