Posted .Hello Kimberly - thank you for providing your feedback regarding your new microwave. We're glad it is running great and is a great size. It is easiest to open the door by pressing the center of the door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate. Too much pressure is needed to get the door open. You almost have to hold the unit with opposite hand so it doesn’t slide away. That’s my only problem so far.

This microwave has a small foot print and doesn’t take up too much counter space. I was able to get it on sale. I couldn’t be more happier with this GE microwave.

Great price, right size. However...under-powered at 950w (but that's an easy work around), and the plastic protecting the buttons wears out easily.

My food was so hot when I took it out the first use that I cut down all of my microwave times to half of what it was with the previous microwave.
