Takes food much longer to get hot than other microwaves I’ve used. Also, the disc tray inside the microwave makes a terrible knocking noise. If you can put up with issues like this for the price, go ahead. But if you want a top of the line machine, it’s worth it to spend more.

We never use it to cook, but occasionally rely on our microwave to heat up water, melt butter, make popcorn etc. We chose this model because the turntable was the perfect size for our relatively large and square shaped dinner plates. (A lot of the 1.1 Cu. Ft. models had a smaller turntable inside and we didn't want a larger model because we have a small kitchen). It gets the job done overall, but it is much less powerful than other units we had used before. In comparison, something that would take a minute to heat up in our old unit will now take an extra 30 seconds and even then the result is not as good.
