The stainless steel cover is not smudge proof and shows fingerprints terribly. Does a great job though on adding 30 seconds to a cook time without shutting off and then restarting for the 30 seconds like some do. This is beneficial when cooking popcorn.

I’m very disappointed in the noise level and amount of vibration with this microwave. I tried a similar microwave from another brand and it was significantly quieter than the GE but had other features we didn’t like. It works fine but I’ll have to try to figure out a way to reduce the noise, like placing it on a rubber mat instead of a hard countertop. I don’t think I would recommend this model to anyone.

I have always had GE microwaves and I wanted the same one since it was the perfect size for my counter. We brought it home and couldn’t believe how cheap it’s made now. To the point that it’s a safety hazard because the entire microwave slides when it’s opened. The top of the microwave is basically a piece of tin that bounces when touched. We returned it and purchased a Sharp microwave. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it.
