Making loud sounds

The clinking sound that you are experiencing is considered a normal operating sound, and we advise taking advantage of your limited warranty. Your warranty details are located at the end of your Owner's Manual. You can view the Owner's Manual by clicking the ‘From the Manufacturer’ tab and scrolling all the way down on the page, you will see a link that says Use and Care Manual.

Since the 12-month manufacturer warranty had expired, my only recourse was to pay Best Buy $31 to check and fix it. Apparently, they did not detect any problems. I picked up the microwave and within 2 weeks sparks started flying again. I used to trust GE products; I no longer do. Don't waste your time with this microwave. It is useless.

My last one broke down beyond repair after 10 months of use. The company issued the gift card immediately to facilitate replacement but obviously i was bound to buy none other but a GE microwave, again. If the new one doesn't live up to my expectations, then my trust in GE is gone. Best of luck, GE!
