    This is the 3rd exact microwave we’ve had. From day one this one whines and chatters while using. Going to return , disappointed:(

    I bought this last April 7 and it just stop working today. I was so disappointed because I only have 15 days to return this product to best buy.

      We understand your microwave not working must be concerning, and we want to assist. If the microwave isn’t working at all, you may want to check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure there’s no issue, and/or try disconnecting it from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve an issue. If it may be helpful, more troubleshooting tips are available on page 14 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product’s page. If you think you need to take advantage of the warranty, information on that is available on page 15. If you have difficulty taking advantage of the warranty, you’re also welcome to send us a private message over our GE Appliances social media (such as Instagram or Facebook) with a copy of this review and your contact information.     Lasted a year in our cabin that we only visit 4 times a year and stay for two weeks. Top started getting hot and sounds like loud, rapidly boiling water kind of. Just out of warranty

    It is a microwave. It works. The buttons are slightly sensitive and I did find myself in a weird mode with no exit once, but that was likely user error. Again, simple and basic machine.

    I bought it under a promo and it was very cheap. It works well; but it runs extra 2/3 sec after the timer is done. Food does not get heated enough for me.

    Malfunctioned the day after the warranty expired

    Literally one day after the one year warranty expired, the microwave started smoking and the burning smell quickly permeated my entire 750 sq.ft apartment. The previous GE we had before this one was also very glitchy and would randomly turn on/start microwaving when no one was anywhere near it/no food was in it. Avoid this model/GE like the plague. They are poorly manufactured.

    Bought this microwave less than a year ago, and today it just stopped working. We had our prior microwave for 9 years. This one only lasted 9 months. Nothing happened, just stopped heating. No one seems to want to do anything about this poor product either. No replacement, no repair. No explanation.

    Worst microwave I’ve ever had. Heats unevenly and slowly. Takes forever and I’ve had lower wattage microwaves. Also you can’t use the magnetic food covers that you store on the inside of the microwave because the inside roof is not flat.
