It is very hard to keep them clean. No matter if I use cleaner or just water to wipe them down, they always look smeared.

We bought this machine in October 2023. Now, GE Warranty was still good, and they provided us with a certificate towards purchase of a new one. Make sure to fill out warranty information with GE when you buy product

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This GE model was not what I had intended to buy, but was cheap, stainless steel all around, and unlike nearly every other brand I looked into, features a light that comes on when the door is open, and when on. Granted, you can't see it super well when on, but enough to tell if something's overflowing. The light on when the door is open is important, I think, for cleaning purposes - and it just makes sense. I also really like the quick start 1-6 minute feature, which is way more useful than I thought it would be, and the presets seem to be pretty accurate for the things I've used them for (beverages and potatoes). The unit seems to heat things evenly and fast, and when done, doesn't have an ear piercingly loud set of beeps and boops. It beeps four or five times when done, and that's it. It's also a fairly quiet unit. It buzzes a bit at the start, but throughout its noise is low. The only niggles are that the top seems to scuff easily (of course, you aren't supposed to put things on the tops of microwaves...), and you can't use the kitchen timer feature and use the microwave for cooking at the same time. However, when using the timer, the countdown takes the place of the clock, which is nice. Overall, for the price, this really is the perfect microwave for my needs. It looks very nice, great size for most applications, cooks fast and evenly, isn't loud when on, the beeps aren't obnoxious, the light comes on when open and on, and it's cheap. To note, I've had the unit for about four months now, and use it daily. No issues to report.

It’s okay..defrosting seems to take quite a bit longer than our previous microwave. Otherwise it does what it’s supposed to do.

It freezes often and you have to wait at lease 2-3 minutes for it to reset. Its a real pain when you just want to heat something up. Sometimes it happens right in the middle and just stops.
