So when I bought this one, I figured it would, at the least, be as good as the old one. Unfortunately, it's not. Door doesn't open easily, timing for cooking is too complicated, just generally not a good product.

Posted .Hi AI73, thanks for leaving a review. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment with your model. It is best to open the door by pressing the center of door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate. This is normal operation for the microwave. Also i called to be able to exchange it and said i couldn’t no more. Which was shocking because that shouldn’t be an issue if the appliance has a defect or something but in this case am stuck with it and i wouldn’t recommend.

By month 7 it went completely dead. GE service is ridiculous, the earliest service is June 5th. I'm not going to have a microwave for over a week!? What a great way to discourage people from claiming their warranty. Will not buy GE small appliances ever again.

After about 8 months the turn table started making a rattling & clucking noise occasionally. We are now at 10 months and it’s constant.

Why did I buy the same model again? Other reviews were good and I thought I would take a chance for < $100. So far, so good but it's only been a month with this one. It looks great and works well - hope it lasts.

The turntable is where the noise was coming from. After two and a half months it was not heating my coffee very good at all. What once took 30 seconds now was taking 90 seconds. Best Buy would not exchange or take it back. Manager said that I was a day late for returning it.

At first we thought it was coming from the traffic noise like Semi breaking. It was that loud. Called GE for assistance, after 2 hours back & forth I decided to return it to Best Buy because GE could not get me refund nor they could fix the problem. They said they do not have part to repair. I would not suggest buying this product at all. Poor Customer Service from GE.
