We had our prior microwave for 9 years. This one only lasted 9 months. Nothing happened, just stopped heating. No one seems to want to do anything about this poor product either. No replacement, no repair. No explanation.

The microwave is still working but you can hear grinding as the plate spins, not sure how much longer this thing will last but entirely a waste of money. I wont be buying GE products again.

So i really did not want the same kind, but that is all the company would cover. Do not recommended purchasing it at all.

Takes forever and I’ve had lower wattage microwaves. Also you can’t use the magnetic food covers that you store on the inside of the microwave because the inside roof is not flat.

Won't turn on anywhere in the house now. Confirmed it wasn't an electrical issue in our house, another appliance (on the same circuit at the time of the trip) still works fine. GE says this is a "return to vendor" item, so if it's outside the Best Buy return period, you only get a rebate on your next GE unit purchase ... but they advise you to *NOT* buy a new one until you get the rebate certificate, and it comes about 2 weeks after you make the warranty claim. Big hassle for the cheapest model. Looks nice, though.

I’m using it twice a day for 15 sec and every time it makes loud noise and slows down sometimes light goes down too and comes back. I’m extremely unhappy but can’t return it because it’s impossible for me to put it back in the box and move it to my car. Plus it’s hard to see start and stop buttons

I'm going to try to return it today. It frequently shuts off. And went turned off again today. It works fine when it actually works.
