It turns on, but the power cuts out about 30 seconds into the cycle and it stops cooking. This may be something that is covered under the warranty, but unfortunately we have to have a service person come out to make that determination, and the cost for the service call is more than the microwave itself cost. We run the risk of the problem not being covered under warranty and then having to pay for the call. Therefore we will have to buy another microwave, and I doubt it will be a GE.

Specifically, the light will turn on, the drum.will rotate, but no heat. Returned item.and bought a samsung microwave that seems to have no issues, whatsoever.

It did not shut off and kept going until it was to hot to function. It was 10 months old!

The power level can only be changed when using the Time Cook or Time Defrost functions. After selecting one of these, select your time, then press Power to select a level between 1 and 10.
