Hi there,

We're truly sorry to hear that the turntable in your microwave is not working and can understand your frustration. If the turntable does not turn check the following:


Make sure the turntable is centered and seated properly.

On models with a stirrer motor there is a shaft protruding up through the floor of the microwave. Make sure the turntable is securely fastened to this shaft.
On models that turn on a ring with wheels attached, make sure the turntable is seated securely on the ring.
Check the turntable to make sure it is placed right side up. If the turntable plate is upside down it will drag on the floor of the microwave.
Check to make sure that there is no food or debris under the "wheels" of the turntable ring. Food can prevent the wheels from moving forward.
Be certain you are pressing a cook function rather than a timer function.
If the microwave has a turntable on/off feature make sure the turntable was not inadvertently turned off. Try depressing the turntable on/off pad to re-engage the turntable.

That absolutely isn’t the positive ownership experience we strive to provide for you, and our Cooking Products Design team will be informed of your experience. We value your report, as we always want to ensure we’re aware of any potential areas of concern. If the microwave stopped working for you completely, checking the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure adequate power is reaching the unit may have helped. Unplugging the microwave from power for a couple minutes before reconnecting can also help in some cases; this resets the electrical components. Additional troubleshooting details are available on page 14 of the manual, which can be viewed on our GE website by looking up the model number. Details of the limited manufacturer’s warranty that covers the appliance for the first year are also available on page 15 of the manual, if you need to take advantage of that coverage. We hope you are able to get this issue resolved soon, so you can go back to enjoying your microwave without trouble. Hi. We're sorry to hear your microwave is malfunctioning. We know how disappointing it is for an appliance to stop working 6 months after its purchase, and we hope you were able to contact the retailer about your warranty. If your unit isn't heating, take a look at an article on our website titled MICROWAVE - RUNS BUT DOES NOT HEAT to see if it helps.
