This microwave fit well in kitchen cabinet with a trim kit and matched our other GE profile appliances in our kitchen but suddenly broke after 4 years.

I had a built-in GE Spacesaver before, and was happy to see they were still made. My previous lasted for over 25 years, so obviously a great brand. The dimensions were still perfect in width and depth. The height is slightly smaller, but a small piece of trim will fill the gap.

Fits perfectly into my custom built cabinets. Wish it had a little more wattage.

Just as advertised. I ordered this microwave with the optional trip kit to give it a built-in look. Looks great and instructions were easy to follow. The slight negative is the power performance, which is a little weak. But understandable give its compact size.

The microwave fit well into the built in space available. I used it for 18 months until I was getting power failure notices and then would not work after shutting the door. It was suggested the latch mechanism had failed and would cost $80 to bring into shop, $175 for them to come out for repair. Certainly not worth the trouble.

Perfect built in fit. Very nice looking. Workmanship is excellent. Options are awesome. Love this microwave!

Idk how GE can sleep at night, offering the same small, under-powered, nothing-special microwave for nearly $500 because you know folks dumb enough to buy in once are now stuck. That said, it works fine except you need to add @25 percent more time to everything because microwaveable food instructions are calibrated for 1000-1200 rather than the 800 watts this model limps in with.

I HAVE A BUILT IN SHELF THAT IS EXACTLY 12 INCH HIGH AND 24 INCH WIDE MADE FOR THE OLD SPACEMAKER II PEM31SM1SS AND THIS FITS. THIS ONE IS ABOUT 11 15/16 WIDE AND ABOUT 23 11/16 HIGH. ALSO THE SIDE CAN BEND IN A BIT BUT NOT THE TOP. BEST BUY WILL TAKE A RETURN BY MAIL OR DROP OFF. SO I SUGGEST YOU TRY IT AND IT MIGHT FIT YOUR SPACE AS IT IS SMALLER THAN THE STATED DIMENSIONS IN THE SPECS. IT IS WORTH THE TRY IF YOUR SPACE IS 12 X 24.

Very over priced….i needed a 12” depth so I had no choice

Bought this GE microwave PEM31SFSS in January 2016 to replace my previous 8 year old GE Profile microwave of the same size that blew its transformer. The old one worked great with microwave popcorn. This new one never popped microwave popcorn without burning. I tried all different methods of popping. Using the Popcorn feature -no, tried the Cook Time feature and set for 2.5 minutes on varying temp control settings and stopping at various times. All burned the popcorn. It appears because this unit is a smidge smaller inside than my previous version, the classic 3.5oz bags get hung up on the door and back of the microwave as the tray tries to rotate. It ends up burning a hole in the bag and the kernels burn too. GE tech came out and told me there is nothing to be done except use the smaller bags. The smaller bags are useless. I'm going to insist Best Buy or GE let me refund the darn thing.

We found it hard to read lettering because they are not white as shown in photo. Also the button is sometimes hard to press depending on where you push.

Works well, heat things up, and makes them taste good. Microwave be microwavin.

Exactly what I wanted! Delivered promptly but slightly damaged. Did not affect performance and we were able to work around it.

This is now the 3rd time I've had to replace this microwave. The only reason I keep buying it is because of the depth... 1st purchase lasted for 4.25 years, 2nd lasted 4.5 years.... Let's see how long this one lasts. Magnetron magically burns out just after the extended warranty ends.... GE should replace this one at NO CHARGE, but fat chance...

Love this microwave. I needed a sleek design to fit into my cabinet on the counter and it worked out great. It’s super quiet. Very happy with this purchase.

Love this microwave. Especially that I got it for the excellent open box price. It was actually in excellent unused condition in original box.

The microwave is attractive. The cons are that it is expensive and very small inside. There are others which are comparable in exterior dimensions but have larger cooking space.

Easy online shopping. Microwave was easy to install myself as the dimensions were correct.

It was difficult to find a replacement for my 20 year old spacemaker microwave which fit into my kitchen cabinetry. This microwave not only fit as well but was an upgrade to the power of my previous microwave. Nice look, great addition and hopefully will last as long. Very pleased!

I wish the buttons on this unit were bigger and easier to read. Also, this unit was replacing a built-in unit that broke. Even with the trim kit, the unit didn't fit perfectly in the existing place.
