Worked fine for ~4 years and then suddenly broke down dangerously one day. Microwave did not shut down and kept running, overheating and cracking the glass turntable. Did not expect this level of safety out of a almost 400$ microwave.

I’m very happy to have made this purchase. My house had a built in microwave but it was old and literally falling apart. This was a great addition and I’m happy.

Purchased this GE Profile microwave in April 2020. It functioned well for 3 years and then stopped working. For that reason, can't recommend it.

Purchased open box expecting everything to be included as advertised. There was no hanging hardware or pattern in the box. Very disappointed but could not return.

Why why why? Why do you make a new dimension for a similar microwave in the past? We used to have cabinet for JEM31SF and the size is 11 3/16 H x 23 7/8 W x 12 9/32 D. Why did you change it to slightly different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we can't get any microwave for our cabinet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHAME!

This unit replaced a ge profile one. It's dimensions are larger but the inside rotating dish is smaller. Things that I was able to use in prior microwave no longer fit. It is unable to pop popcorn. It leaves half or kernels unpopped and the remaining kernels hard and useless, no matter how much I put in. I would never buy this appliance again. Never experienced such a bad microwave, even cheap units.

I have owned the GE PEM31 series microwave ovens for over 20 years. They are easy to use and cook well. When my PEM31SF4SS died I immediately replaced it with the PEM31SFSS. I can't believe the changed the dimensions. The new unit is a quarter inch taller and wider. It doesn't fit my old mounting kit. GE has a new mounting kit but requires a larger cabinet opening. The end result is that I need to spend $2000 to get my kitchen cabinets modified. My suggestion, DO NOT but this unit as a built-in. Because microwave don't last forever and you won't be able to replace it in the future.

Don't waste your time or money on this appliance. For those of you who have had cabinets designed around an existing GE microwave, I would either repair the old unit or bring a carpenter in to redesign the space to accomodate another brand. The newer GE units are much cheaper, and the unit is deeper than represented because the power cord extends further behind the unit than the old one did (and is not flexible. That's a problem if you want the front of the microwave to be flush with the cabinet face.

Referred to this model to replace an older GE model for my built in cabinet. Width wise it fit exactly into the 24 inch wide space. However, what the description and specifications do not tell you, is that you need about an extra 1/2 inch of space on the left to open the door. Had no choice but to return the unit, for a more reasonably priced counter top model.

Stopped working after 30 days. Best Buy won't take it back after 15 days. The electrical outlet has verified power but the microwave has none. Would have given 5 stars if asked to review last week.
