This is a nice microwave for sitting on a small counter space and fits a good size dinner place. works quietly too. Most newer models of other brands are only in steel gray or black. I had to order this white one.

This microwave is pretty good considering the price. We bought it on sale for our new house. It's big enough for most containers and plates and we have no complaints on how it heats the food. One star deducted because one of the buttons on the touch pad doesn't work but were trying to work it out with GE to get it fixed.

Love this! Easy to use. Happy I could find one in white because it's easier to see than a darker one.

We love the size and appearance of this microwave. It goes very well with our white cabinets, is the perfect size and heats food easily. However, we have had to replace four of these within five months because after either a couple of months or within three weeks, the microwave started to produce a burning plastic smell that was unbearable and most likley an indication that it was becoming a fire hazard. I am hoping that GE will fix this problem and produce something that is safe and lasts longer. GE has refunded each microwave since it was still within the warranty period, but we were required to purchase a GE product in order to receive the refund. We needed a microwave and because this fits our space and matches our cabinets, it was our only GE option.

We have Karma with microwaves. We got one that we thought was 'IT' only to have is rumble then turn into a roar. This one has the little things we count on. White outside and inside. Inside because white is much easier to see in than the now popular gray. The light turns on as soon as you open the door. I do a lot of things without turning the lights on and with the door open I have plenty of light to make coffee or eggs or whatever. The light is on while the micro is running. Many glass fronts are so dark you can't see through. I have to watch certain foods or they over flow or melt too much. I'm not a great cook so I often watch. We both count on and love this baby. One touch buttons. Reheat button. etc.

The unit I purchased replaced my seven-years old GE microwave, same size, power and capacity. It looks great and works perfectly. My only criticism is that the option buttons are all black letters on a gray background which makes it difficult to read without effort.

This model is very similar to the one I had before, that lasted 4 years, There are some changes that I noticed, the door frame is plastic, with a metal insert. It took some getting used to, as the door will flex and you have to push it closed from the bottom right corner to close it securely. It also seemed to take about a week of use and the odd zapping sounds when starting went away. Break in period, I guess. Also the full instructions are on GE website now. But we liked the looks of our previous GE microwave and the functionality. The fact that it is white with no chrome, it fits in. It works too. The other brands have similar sizing but not the wattage. This has plenty of wattage and does things well plus has the turntable inside that actually works better than our previous GE microwave.

I love everything about it except the child safety lock

This microwave is quiet and works well, with accurate temperature performance. The control pad is very intuitive. I like the "add 30 sec" feature which allows instant cooking on high in 30 sec intervals w/o having to punch in time/power level. The door is so flimsy that if you close it pushing it at the top, it bends and does not actually close! The bottom latches don't make contact when the door bends. Likewise, the open button, while large and easy, also feels flimsy, and makes one wonder if it will actually last through years of service. Because of that, I went for an extended warranty, which still made the overal cost reasonable, factoring in the sale price of the microwave.

The 1st one went out after two months, but after a run-around with GE, GE offered a refund to purchase another GE product because it was within the 1 year warranty, so we bought the same product again, because we like the features. It is white and easy for our mother to see to push the digital buttons. The glass plate rotates nicely. We've enjoyed the 2nd micro for over a month now. It actually heats up food better than the first one that went out. Of course, this time we purchased the Best Buy warranty to make things easier, in case we had problems in the future. Go Geek Squad!

This was exactly like our old microwave..however there was a change. Childproof opening and extra step that has led to a learning curve some older adults

This microwave comes with a 12 month warranty. Suddenly, without warning, poof! 15 months later it quit working. Naturally, I did not purchase extended warranties. But, still, 15 months...?? And, it was/is the only microwave out there that so perfectly fits its' intended space :( So, I was encouraged to call GE, and lo and behold they offered a complete rebate for replacement!! :) WooHoo!! And, here I was, never going to buy GE again. Stoopid me :) Thanks GE!! my confidence has been restored :)

This works as well as our last GE of the same size that lasted 11 years. That one was stainless steel and I can tell the difference in that this one is lighter (flimsier? I don't know yet) and noisier. It's certainly bearable but steel doesn't rattle like plastic. This model also removed the levels of reheating and replaced with a universal setting supposedly sensing the food temperature. Our reheated food always ends up too hot so I have to watch it or just not use this setting. That was a disappointment. But, it does the job and was the only one I could get during the pandemic.

This microwave is to replace the exact same make and model GE microwave purchased earlier this year. The other one quit working after 3 months. GE's warranty policy requires you to first replace the defective one with another GE product. After purchasing another GE product, you send in your proof of purchase, along with their "Good Will Certificate" and they are supposed to mail you a refund check within 8 weeks. It hasn't been 8 weeks yet, so I hope they honor their policy. If I have any problems with this microwave, I will never buy another GE product, but so far, this one has been working fine. It heats foods and drinks nicely.

First one blew up not a year old. Geek squad replaced no charge. We love everything about this except the questionable quality. Strongly suggest purchase extended warranty.

I bought this to replace a GE microwave I had had for 10 years before it stopped working. This one is virtually identical to the one I had except with a different model number. I'm very satisfied with it, and hope it lasts as long as the previous one. The child lock for the door is very easy to disengage if you don't want to use it.

Excellent cooking and easy to use controls. The door is a bit lightweight feeling - hard to close pushing on the top corner, more sturdy in the lower corner. Not a big deal, but expected a bit more heavy duty

I love this microwave!! It's only been a month, however, the GE Microwave is working sooo much better than the Panasonic Microwave that I previously purchased, never heated correctly and stopped working after only a few months of usage!! The GE Microwave arrived quickly, packaging was excellent and was light enough for me to lift up and put on my kitchen counter all by myself (I'm a senior). This GE Mid-Size Microwave is just perfect for my needs.

The microwave works for us as advertised. It is also really good for the price and the timeline that I needed to complete the purchase in. However, the button to open the door is difficult to activate. You have to be perfectly centered on the button to get it to work. Further, the door continues to be stiff to close. I would also like the buttons on the keypad to be a little larger. All things that if I had a floor model to look at first I might have chosen a different model.

Compared to the last one (same size/model) I don't expect this one to last long. It's cheap and loud. Closing the door on the last one made a satisfying "thunk" noise. This one sounds like you dropped a large tin can. I expected better quality given the price.
