It had an error message on it. My original microwave lasted me 6-10 years and I’m afraid this one won’t last a year

Didn't last very long

It just did not last long. We had a Sharp Carosel for over 10 years and its still working, but it was time to upgrade. So we purchased the GE microwave but 16 months later the control board went out. For the price of the control board and labor, its not worth fixing. We will buy another microwave oven, just not a GE.

Poor quality on construction.

I was going to return it,but the manual says that this is normal. It is not a very good operation. The sales folks should be aware of this problem and warn the consumer (me) about the problem. I would not have bought the microwave if I had known about the problem in advance. Poor customer relations.

PF - Power failure code on 2 brand new microwaves!

Utter junk. 1st microwave gave a PF code after 10 days of use. Burning smell came, prob magnometer. Returned it to Best Buy because it was within 14 days (too short a period). Got an exchange. Plugged in 2nd Brand new microwave. PF code displayed upon plugging it in. Tried 3 outlets - 3 PF codes. Why would a company sell microwaves that give error codes within 10 days and then on first use? Is that a good customer experience, lol! Gheesh! Returning 2nd one and staying away from Best Buy and GE from now on. Walmart, here I come....

Motor making noise right out of box.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased it as a replacement for our 15+ year microwave (that still worked...not sure why we replaced) anyway right out of box... motor made noise when done cooking (stopping spinning made a noise like a card was stuck in the spokes of your bike).... now (about 3 weeks since we set it up) the open door button doesnt really work... have to press extra hard when it reaches the back of button press. Since we just set this up about 3 weeks ago but bought it before Christmas I am no longer able to return it.... I thought I had more time 1 star isnt for my lack of being able to return but for issue with fan and button being cheap.

Disappointed

Very disappointed in the quality as it has failed in less than 8 months. So far the GE warranty department has been very helpful in getting a rebate card towards a new replacement. Maybe a one in a million failure or lemon.

BB Outlet pricing is not that attractive

I bought an open box item for 208.99. A new unit in an un-opened box is only $6 more (at both BB and Amazon). I expected a better deal when buying an open box item. BB's Outlet pricing practices will increase my due diligence the next time (if there is a next time) I consider buying something from them. It feels like BB is selling open box merchandise at unopened box prices.

Door opener doesn’t always open the door

Unplugged to see if wire issue but it won't even tell me what is wrongto try and address an issue

Door gets steamed up
