    Door on GE microwave sticks

    I have owned this microwave for one year and two months. The door has been failing to open easily for the last few months. The door opens by pressing a button. My understanding is that the springs associated with the door have worn out. This microwave has not been abused in any way. The interior is kept clean. It is used several times a week. It is not roughly used. There are some other customers who have experienced problems like this, and they have asked questions on the Best Buy site. GE has answered the questions and has suggested the customer may have been rough with the oven. Don’t believe it! Don’t buy this microwave unless you plan to have trouble with the door!

    60 days of ownership and the thing turns off randomly and now stopped heating. Out of Best Buy warranty so now GE has to come out for service.

    The microwave was great when installed. After a couple weeks of very light use it took longer and longer to warm. Ater a few days it didnt cook or warm. Looks ond sounds to work but doesn’t

    worst microwave less than a year and it died, best buy wont rectify, they have me contacting manufacturer and asking for repairs, its less than a year old

    Do not buy, this microwave straight up died on us less than a year into its use. We’re not heavy microwave users either. The whole screen goes crazy and then power failure shows up.

    This microwave is 6 months old and has stopped heating food. It has always made a very loud humming noise that we ignored because it heated the food. The noise was loud enough that it was disruptive. Today it stopped heating food. Would not recommend it.

    Don,t bother with this one. Burns up everything put in it unless you manually tell it what to do every time. Had a lot of microwaves over the years and this is by far the worst. El cheapo from wally world does better.

    Only had the microwave for about 8 months and already had issues with just randomly turning off then at 11 months wouldn't come back on.

    Overall its great for reheating food however the product intermittently makes a loud noise while in use. Spoke with the manufacturer the return process arduous.

    I used this microwave about 30 to 40 times and then it broke. It just shut down and that was it. For a GE product that is very disappointing.

    Purchased in May - Died in Sept - Completely quit heating - GE Warranty is a joke - They will refund you in 10 weeks after you do 100 different tasks - No more GE appliances for me

    This microwave has a lot of power compared to the one we replaced. Unfortunately, it was broken. Power failure after power failure. Had to return it.

    Can't tell if sent a bad product that just barely works or a defective one. Turned on microwave, heated food for 2 minutes, heard a burst inside the microwave and never turned back on. On the FIRST 2 hours of having the microwave!!! What a waste of time and money.

    I purchased this on May 27th and two weeks ago it went completely out. The return period had ended so i am stuck waiting on GE to send a service man which has taken 2 weeks!!! Spent all this money on good brand and it goes to out in a couple of months, but my old Walmart brand lated 5 years!!!! I wish i could throw this back at Best Buy or GE because it is a ripoff!!!

    Worked for 4 months. Died today. Always had a weird low volume but high pitched sound that comes from the keypad area. Heated up some leftovers and then it just stopped working altogether. No obvious reasons, no loud noises before it died. It simply just stopped. Can't recommend this microwave given that it's not cheap and didn't even last a full year.
