JUNK!!!

To pay over $200 for a GE microwave and to only get one year usage is not worth it. These big name brand item we grew up seeing in our homes as kid in the 80's used to last 15 and 20 years. Now they are a piece of pretty junk.

Microwave not worth the money

Sent email to GE and was told the unit was not covered under the service warranty and that I needed to take it back to Best Buy for a replacement. GE does not make this unit anymore and parts are not available. Unit was manufactured in April 2020.

Not happy

There are many reason arcing can occur in a microwave. Just make sure no silverware, metal racks, or temperature probes are put inside the unit. Called GE to see about the warranty and there is a very long waiting period to get a new one sent to me. I will be returning to bestbuy.

No Manual

In essence you can’t use the sensor, know how to use the warmer setting or other settings on the microwave.

We checked and we have zero metal in the microwave so its malfunctioning. Its no longer usable and its dangerous.

Defective

Broken after 4 uses

After it finally went, I was excited to plug this in and be ready to go. But, 2 days later after using it 4 times, the microwave stopped working. Now, I'm stuck with a broken microwave because it is pas BB's 14 day return policy and GE is beyond problematic to go through the warranty process.

No Heat

We know that must cause frustration. You may want to check that the door is closing securely and completely – if it is not latching, that can interfere with the unit. You also may want to try unplugging the microwave from power for a couple minutes, then plugging it back in; this will reset the electrical components of the model and can often resolve an issue. If you are not able to get the issue resolved, our service department is available at 1-800-432-2737. There is also information on page 15 of your manual regarding your limited manufacturer's warranty, if you wish to take advantage of that. bad purchase

Assume the issue was not enough ventilation. I moved it to the counter and it worked initially but now is not heating. Light is on but wont heat anything up

This model microwave is not designed for a built-in application. This model is designed to be placed on your counter top with 3" clearance on each side and on the top with 1" clearance in the rear. From your description, the microwave was overheating internally and shutting down as a safety precaution. Once it was moved to the counter with the proper air clearance the unit should have worked well for you. Please refer to Page 15 of the owner's manual for details regarding your warranty. Broke down

Luckily GE gave us our money back as long as we bought another GE. They were really helpful. So we bought the bigger GE Microwave and it is working great.

Microwave Sucks!!!!

Out of the box it rattles really loudly like something is loose inside of it. It steams as it warms and often the food is not warmed all the way through. I will never buy this brand again!!!!

Junk do not purchase!!!!!!

We hadn’t lost power to the house, the outlet was still working, and there was nothing different about what we were heating, so I have no clue what happened.
