    Bought my first GE microwave around 1984. It was heavier than todays micros and it lasted about 35 years, with vigorous use. So i replaced with new GE and also bought a GE MICROWAVE as a gift.. Great reliability means loyal customer. Time will tell, but i don't expect 35 years out of these. Probably not built as good, because price is way much less than the first one i bought.

    This microwave is good except I learned the difference between 1100 and 1500 now I know that this microwave has to be watched even though the food does cook fast and learning the different ways are good. My review is average because I'm still learning.

    Nice unit and does the job. One item of note; when the device is turned on, it is slightly louder for a moment or two and then quiets down. Never had a microwave do that. Otherwise, I recommend the item.
