    This review is for a white GE 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave. The microwave was purchased to replace an 18 year old Frigidaire FMT144G1W3 microwave. The dimensions provided in the advertisement were accurate and the GE microwave fit within the space previously occupied by the old microwave.     Chose this microwave because it was replacing a similar one, so we knew it would fit in the space. We like that it has the 30 second button, but don't know why GE felt the need to change its location on the pad. It's a little higher wattage than the old one, which is nice. Good microwave for a great sale price of under $200 - the size and power are quite sufficient. However, if you're looking for high quality, this is not the one.

    Bought this to replace a 10 year old GE profile microwave that failed. It went into the same spot - with a little work on the cord location and mounting holes. The great thing was that I got this with the installation from BestBuy, and although the installation was almost as much as the microwave, I watched them do it and was glad I didn't opt to do it myself. It does take 2 people to install this - even when you are just replacing a like model.
