    I regard GE products as solid and bought a microwave at Best Buy. However, when we opened and checked the parts against the manual, some where missing. So, we had to return it.

    The clock literally broke 1.5 years after buying the microwave and won’t stop flashing. Contacted GE and they tried to charge over $100 to fix it. It is a piece of junk!

    I purchased this microwave in March as a replacement as a replacement for the same model (repairman said it would cost $325 to repair and there would be a chance that the second sensor could stop working). The repairman said that there is a defect in GE microwaves and my electrician suggested I purchase another brand. The new microwave stopped working 6 weeks after installation. Called GE for service. The microwave was taken to repair shop for diagnosis and repair. After 6 weeks, I was called and told the part arrived but it was defective so the part had to be reordered. The microwave was finally repaired and reinstalled 4 weeks later, only to stop working 3 days later.

    Second one I've had. Same problem. Panel digits flashing. First one replaced, had plan. Thought second one wouldn't be faulty...but same having problem. Not a good brand

    Big Power surge when door is opened

    The microwave looks nice and is somewhat understandable to operate. Unfortunately, 13-months, three days after I purchased it, it died (12m warranty). At first it would blow a breaker frequently when I would open the door with it turned on. When I finally moved it to its own circuit, it must have pushed too much current and fried the internals. The clock display is ok, but also hard to read from a distance. I suggest looking for alternatives.

    this looks great and works great, but when we cook something for more than a couple minutes, it starts to make a vibrating noise.

    Just yesterday had this item installed. Only problem is I need a flashlight to illuminate the program pad. It is very faint. I am 76 and my husband is 80. A bit of a challenge

    Worked for about three weeks

    This microwave worked for about three weeks and then shorted out and doesn't work at all. It started beeping randomly at like 5 a.m. one day, and the flashing message was 'keypad short,' which I assume means that the touch-screen needs to be replaced. We cannot even set the clock on it now. I have never had an over-the-range microwave, so I didn't know that the panel should have been backlit, but that never worked, which indicates to me that there was an electrical problem from the minute it was installed. So I have brand new appliances and now need to spend money on a different microwave and time to install it. Hopefully the stainless will match. NOT happy!

    3 minutes to heat up a slice of pizza

    You're better off going with another microwave. It takes up to 3 minutes just to heat up a slice of pizza. I've had to microwave leftovers up to 15 minutes at time. Very weak microwave and yes, the power level is all the way up! Also no lights on the buttons which would have been a nice feature.

    touch pad needs some back lighting.Impossible to see unless kitchen lights on brightest setting. heats food just fine.

    can't get one that works or not damaged

    I ordered this microwave in store to replace a similar one I'd had for 16 years. I picked it up in the store. Got it home, Installed it, it didn't work. Plug it in and the light and a motor went on and wouldn't shut off until it was unplugged. Lugged it back to the store and they ordered a new one, which I had delivered. As we were installing it, I noticed a bottom corner was dented. Lugged that one to the store to return. They ordered a new one. This one was supposed to arrive yesterday. UPS sent it back. It was damaged. When I called the store, they can't order a new one until they get that one back. When I said I'd go elsewhere as I'd been without the microwave for long enough, he said "whatever works for you".

    Unit malfunctioned at keypad and buzzer does not work anymore. I have to unplug it to temporarily get the keypad to work. This may last one to two uses then it doesn't take any input anymore. 8 months old and total failure.

    It does what it’s supposed to do. Only wish it had a feature for pre set cooking like my old GE did. “Set cooking time for 5 min at 6:00 am. “

    Display died after 14 months.

    The microwave is still working, but the LCD display is flickering badly. I bought it in March 2023 and the display started acting up in May 2024. I was worried about the quality from the start because of the weakness the chassis. Once it was installed, there was visible sag and flex on the top of the unit.
