I love my new GE Microwave.It looks really nice. It is very easy to operate. The setting could be a little brighter for an older person to see. After using it for about a week, I could see the setting easier.

I finally replaced my old 2004 microwave with this GE Over-the-Range Microwave, and the difference is incredible! This one is fast, easy to use, and operates smoothly. The convenience cooking controls make reheating and cooking super simple, and everything heats up evenly. Installation was straightforward, and for the price, this is an excellent deal. It looks great in my kitchen and works perfectly.

Operation is very quiet, food heats up quickly, installation was reasonable for a DIY individual. Installation was probably about a 6/10 in scale of difficulty. If you've hung a shelf, you can install this microwave. (1) Locate/trace Studs (2) Drill bracket Holes & screw in the bracket. (3) Prepare the microwave ventilation (4) Cut the template for your cabinet style (5) Cut out the cabinet holes for the screws & power cord (6) place microwave on bracket and insert screws through cabinet base to hold microwave in place. (7) plug in microwave (8) make popcorn The most intensive part of this whole installation process was changing the outlet above the range from a cap to an actual outlet. If you're only one person getting this thing into place, use a sterlite/rubbermaid to get it close to the height and then its much easier. I did this since my wife is pregnant. You can do it. Especially consider this if you've already got a stove in place.

We purchase his model when our previous GE Spacemaker XL1400 started dying. The color, features, and size were identical that it made the ideal replacement. We installed the microwave ourselves, and while we couldn't use the previous microwave's anchor points, the template made it quite easy to create new ones to secure it to the wall and the cabinets above. I was also able to replace it same day, thanks to ordering it online and picking it up in-store. I even saved some money by applying Best Buy rewards that I had earned from other purchases.

This has proved to be an excellent appliance. It was affordable and (fairly) easy to install. Its major virtues are that it isn't that loud and that the touch panel is admirably simple.

Microwave works as advertised. Needed to replace the same model so it would fit. It works well and looks nice.

Great appliance - works perfectly and looks good - excellent value

Picked up this model because of the mounting brackets (had the same model before and didn't want to redo the installation, just remove and replace). Overall, previous unit lasted 4 years and 2 month, then died by blowing the fuse first randomly, then consistent. If this one will last the same (4+ years I will be happy). the only difference is - this model came with the white color digits, not the green one like my last model and the picture on the site, not a big deal for me, but can make some folks unhappy. Based on the price/value - this is a good choice.

Good price for this microwave. Was easy to replace existing as brackets were in place from the old one. However had BB do the install. The buttons seem in odd places on the right meaning not where I'd expect to find them - ie. the light is mixed in with the other buttons where you'd think it would be lower or separate. The under the micro light bulbs - one side burns out every few months - meaning it must be a bad circuit to keep blowing light bulbs where the other lasts very long time - haven't had to replace it. Gave it 4 stars as the price helped.

This is the 2nd time we have bought this GE Microwave; we just replaced the old with the same model. Our last microwave lasted 5 years with heavy every day usage. While I wish it lasted longer, 5 years is about an average life span of a heavily used microwave. It looks very nice (stainless steel), easy to use and heats up food pretty quickly. We bought the same microwave again because it was on super sale and installing it would be easier as it’s the same specs. We’ve been switching out our initial LG Appliances with GE and have been happy with GE.

1) Easy to install. 2) Really appreciate the appliance off the counter top. 3) Really happy to get the "Bisque" color finish.

Works great. Put it in using the best buy installer, they cleaned up the mess and took everything away. After I bought the right install kit. It looks gret

We bought this microwave on May 26, 2020 to replace a similar GE unit that failed after 4 years (magnetron went out and repair was more than purchase). We chose the new similar model to match other GE appliances finish and because the measurements were same as prior unit and made installation easy (no change in support bracket and holes in cupboard for bolts was required). Best Buy had a sale for $195 ( $100 off). Best Buy provided contactless purchase to ease concern of coming in store due to coronavirus. We hope to get better life out of this unit.

A replacement and works great. Need one with the right color as well.

This beautifully replaced a much older model that lasted 18 years. Works well with even more features than the prior one it replaced.

This microwave has met my expectations so far after about a month of use. Installation was about moderate difficulty - for my application, I had to change the fan orientation, which was not terribly difficult. Installing the bracket to hang the microwave was easy, but the template for where to cut holes in the cabinet above was downright frustrating. I would recommend simply measuring reference distances and marking where to cut and drill. I wasted about 45 minutes here that could have been saved. During my installation, I had a bolt that was not threaded correctly and would not seat into the microwave from the cabinet above. A quick call to GE had a kind service representative sending a replacement my way. The part arrived within a week. Overall, the install took about 3 hours. The microwave itself works great now that it is installed. Noise during use is relatively low, the surface light is bright, and the cooking options are varied enough to be useful. Power is adequate, so food comes out hot without enormous cook times. My one real complaint is the exhaust fan. It just does not pull enough air from above the range. I also feel that vent intakes are too far to the back of the range to be at all effective for a pan that is steaming on a front burner. This seems to be a common issue for most newer microwaves, as I have seen the same thing at friends' houses as well. All in all, I am pleased with this microwave for the sale price that I paid.

This model is very similar to the one it replaced except it has more features and looks great. It was also reasonably priced.

Solid performer. Not a high end machine but does what I need it to do. If your looking for sensor probe cooking, or all the bells and whistles, look elsewhere. I primarily use it to reheat, warm soups, cook popcorn occasionally, ect. Was average in degree of difficulty to self install. It run about a 1/16th inch narrower than some over the stove microwaves which made it perfect for my very tight 30 inch opening. Best buy was the best price.
