    The touch-pad is clunky. It takes a heavy push to trigger a control. The design of the controls is poor, and the touch-pad had already to show delamination “rings” around the areas that are used most frequently. I don’t recommend this GE microwave.

    We bought this microwave to replace one removed by our contractor during a kitchen remodel. It works as advertised - heading food, venting the cooktop underneath, and providing surface lighting. We found the controls intuitive despite moving from a Kenmore to GE. There is nothing "wrong" with it, but I hesitate to call it excellent (5 stars) because it does what it is supposed to do.

    This microwave was a perfect purchase for our home. Are old microwave broke two days before Christmas and so we ran the Best buy and grab this one. Similar to the old one but better built. Great customer service made this a prompt and saved Christmas.

    I bought this item on November 25, 2024. After just 1 year and 2 months, I started having serious problems with it. The over-the-door handle broke, and I also noticed damage on the back of the door. Because of this, the product is no longer working properly. I am very disappointed with the quality. A product like this should last much longer, especially when purchased from Best Buy. When I contacted customer service, I was told the warranty is only for one year, so it does not qualify for replacement. The only option suggested was buying an extended warranty, which feels unfair since the issue is due to poor product quality, not misuse. I expected better durability and better support. I hope Best Buy can review this and offer a reasonable solution.

    So far I am very happy with the unit. I had some help installing it and we did not get the venting correct so I will get some more help to get that corrected (it blows into the room instead of up into the exhaust vent).

    We have had a countertop GE microwave for years and loved it so a GE above the range was a no brainer. We love the express cook buttons! Only puzzling thing with our new microwave is the military time it displays even though the manual says it is a 12 hour clock. Ideas on how to fix would be appreciated.

    This microwave replaced a similar model that quit working. The unit was labeled 2011! I am really happy that the new model fit exactly with regards to mounting and works perfectly.
