Pretty good over-the-range microwave

This one matched perfectly, great price, and runs well. Only one minor flaw - once in a while the door doesn't quite shut all the way, and then needs to be pushed a bit to shut it completely. Might be related to the fact that we have to reach up to open and shut it. We also had BestBuy install it and they were very efficient.

I purchased this unit for one of my rentals and so far so good. I think in the past few years I purchased atleast 5 of these and never an issue.

This unit requires that the FAN run at all times-even when heating a cup of water. Or just warming a bagel. the FAN is so loud. I found and downloaded the manual and there is NO WAY to turn it off the fan. I later saw it printed on the inside framework of the microwave. I am not sure if this is a new thing in microwave design-but it makes me use it less. The 'bang' sound of the door latching when as well as the fan running can be heard on the other side of the house, in a different room. Sooo disappointed. If I had the $$ I would replace it. It does seem to take a bit longer to heat up a cup of water-but it does do what is intended...just is annoying how loud it is.

Posted .The vent fan will make a sound similar to a vent hood. This exterior fan noise on the over-the-range microwave is a normal sound when the vent fan is in use. Numbers need to be spaced apart more. Worthless from 10 ft away and anything but directly in front of it.
