It works at expected but the mounting holes did not align perfectly with the old microwave and it was a little heavy to install. Eventually we got it installed and it is fine.

I love the surface lights and the fan. It was pretty easy to learn to use. I am not used to so much power though. It warmed up my baked chicken quite nicely without hot spots or drying it out.

We were told in the store that the unit was not plugged in and this was why it did not have the backlighting. WRONG!

The problem we are having is, after 30 days of use the plastic covering the buttons is loosening and beginning to bubble. It won't be long and it won't look good. I guess you get what you pay for in this case.

Turns out these models are known to short due to the "overuse of the door" (that was from a GE tech that came out). Tech said dont bother repairing as he would charge more than it costs to buy new (hows that for quality and sustainability). So I went ahead and bought an open-box one that happened to be at the local Best Buy... Worked for 2 weeks. Guess I should be happy since it allowed me to return within the 15 day period. Well, on to another brand (Whirlpool) but i heard that there really are only a couple manufacturers of these microwaves, and they resell them under the different appliance brands. So who knows, just hoping this new Whirpool one lasts 3 years instead of 2 weeks...
