The first one died after 4 years - The fuse blew; replacement fuses blew, and then the breaker started tripping. Reading online, there is an issue with the door. With this one, we purchased the 5 year warranty, and now press pause, before opening the door, if the oven is still on. So far so good, after two months. We'll see what happens...

I would have purchased a "higher" level BUT i needed the color Bisque...so it will have to do! If i could, I would NEVER AGAIN purchase a GE product as GE is now part of a Chinese conglomerate! Disgusting!

The back plate and cabinet holes all had to be redone. What should have been a 30 minute installation turned into over an hour. Be aware.

The difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension. I hope this helps! The lighted features are bright and easy to read. I don't understand why the handle is not one smooth piece. The seem in the handle is going to be hard to keep clean.
