Excellent inexpensive Microwave

It's not the most expensive microwave out there so there is quite a bit of plastic involved in the inside of the microwave, but it's certainly not anything that concerns me. It has basic functions which is all I realistically use. The installation went as expected although I did not initially rotate the internal exhaust fan to blow out the front, so I had to take it back down and reinstall it. This microwave matches my stove and it all looks great together.

The good is that the new model seems to heat food quicker. The not so good is that the mounting flaps on the new wall bracket and the holes for the mounting screws on the top of the unit were not in the same place as the old one, even though it was the same model. It is also louder than the older model. Overall it does a good job and the minor inconveniences are not that big of a deal to me.

Maytag replacement microwave

The size is about the same and we needed that biscuit color. So far, no more tripping breaker and is defrosting as it should.

Change is hard so still getting used to slightly different buttons than what I’m used to but that’s fine. 1.6 cubic feet doesn’t seem any smaller than our old 1.7. Can’t really imagine needing anything more and it looks nice in the kitchen.

Replaced same model from 15 years ago

Looked at a bunch of different units and this just works! Happy with the updated version and it functions just like I'm used to. Not too difficult to hang over the stove, though it is a bit different than the old model so I had to put bolts in different locations, but other than that I'm happy with the microwave!

Lots of bang for the buck

It's big enough for almost anything and it heats things faster than our previous GE microwave, It only has a two speed exhaust fan, but that's enough. It has all the features you might want without spending twice as much money.
