    Bought this to replace a whirlpool microwave. This unit requires that the FAN run at all times-even when heating a cup of water. Or just warming a bagel. the FAN is so loud. I found and downloaded the manual and there is NO WAY to turn it off the fan. I later saw it printed on the inside framework of the microwave. I am not sure if this is a new thing in microwave design-but it makes me use it less. The 'bang' sound of the door latching when as well as the fan running can be heard on the other side of the house, in a different room. Sooo disappointed. If I had the $$ I would replace it. It does seem to take a bit longer to heat up a cup of water-but it does do what is intended...just is annoying how loud it is.

      The vent fan will make a sound similar to a vent hood. This exterior fan noise on the over-the-range microwave is a normal sound when the vent fan is in use.     This is a basic microwave that does what it needs to do. We chose this model because it fits in the space we have without sticking out too far. The sound is a high pitched whine, different from our last microwave but not hard to get used to.

    It was an open-box item but in otherwise perfect condition, and it was at a steal, so I drove an hour to the next nearest Best Buy to purchase it and I don't regret it. The box is way bigger than I imagined, so take a truck or SUV (or a car with a bigger trunk than my Prius). Well worth the investment!

    So far I am very satisfied with my new GE microwave which replaced my previous 16 year old GE microwave. I really like that the timer bell is much louder and can be heard all over the house, it has a light with 2 levels and it has a pause function for checking foods.

    This GE microwave was very inexpensive but has useful features that weren’t on any of my previous machines. The reset function is accurate and versatile, and though it’s the same wattage as my previous unit, it seems to cook faster. I can’t vouch for its longevity, as I’ve had it only a few weeks, but so far it s working great, and fits my decor very nicely.

    Bought this to replace my old GE oven. It is a shame that the holes didn't line up the same so I would have had to drill more holes in the cabinet above the stove. This oven heats quicker than the previous model. It was a good buy when the price was reduced by over $100.

    As usual Best Buy is one stop shop for all of mh electronics items and experience around it was no different than smooth. The product, installation, deliver my etc were very smooth.
