Overhead light is only ONE light in the middle; leaving the sides in the shadows/dark. The buttons layout could be better positioned. For a HEAT/RE-HEAT unit, the price is a bit high. I am giving this unit a 5 yr lifespan.

No issues other than the fan is very loud. Currently replacing with the exact same one to reuse the bracket. Not the microwaves fault, we had a kitchen fire. Microwave still worked fine.

The old version of this microwave did not do that and I don’t believe there is anyway to turn off this feature.

Better price and in-store pickup here than big box home improvement stores. Although measurements stated were slightly different than previous model, it fit well (had to use new unit’s mounting bracket) . The instructions were not good regarding orientation of exhaust fan, was only complaint. Called GE customer service to clarify the confusing installation instructions (Steps that had already been done by factory and were coded into the model number, so didn’t apply. Helpful information and agent registered the product over the phone).
