Had to replace old microwave over the stove. Choose the General Electric because the previous one was also a General Electric and the old mounting bracket worked without installing a new one. Template was poor.

I had a Whirlpool microwave for 19 years and it didn't work anymore so went to Best Buy to purchase another. I needed the bisque or almond color and the salesman offered to look up suppliers that still make that color. GE still had it so I ordered it and it is almost like my old one so is easy to adjust to. Great product and great service!

Not a big microwave user but to warm up things and for the price you can't beat it

This is my third microwave of this GE model over the last 15 or so years. You'd ask, "Why do you keep buying it if you give it only three stars?" Well, in an unfulfilled hope that I would be able to remove my old broken one, put there a new one, screw in the bolts, and be done with it. No way. They are changing something every time - like positions of the holes you have to drill in the shelf above the microwave. If they kept positions and design of their connection hardware the same year over year, I'd have given it five stars.

It's an over-the-range microwave and works as expected. One thing to watch out for is that just because you had a GE microwave before, it doesn't mean that the holding screws will be in the same location. I found out the hard way. May sure you double check the location of the screws. The holding plate in the back should work fine.
