    Purchased this GE over range microwave Because i have had a similar model for 7 years and have never had any issues with it. For the past 20 years i have purchased GE refrigerator, ranges. Microwaves, washer, dryer and dishwasher.

    We were looking to replace a unit that shorted out and did not want to spend a ton of money on one. This one more than fits our needs from a functional perspective (warming up leftovers and making snacks) and looks pretty good in the kitchen. It is not the most powerful, but we don't need that.

    We had a 2005 same version of this GE model which was actually nice looking and the digital numbers were updated. While this model works fine it definitely seems like the cheaper version with older digital text.

    Inexpensive(179.99) stainless steel replacement for my 16 year old G.E. above the stove microwave. The touchpad is black and hard to read in low light conditions. It would have been nice for G.E. to use the same mounting bracket as my older one. That would have made the installation easier.
