Heats well, size of microwave perfect for every day use. We self installed and instructions very detailed and straight forward. Installation went very well. My brother in law is very skilled in DIY. The microwave measurements were perfect and the unit fit very well.

The only upgrade I recommend, a hardcopy operating manual should be included. Since this GE microwave operates slightly different than the my older GE microwave, I had to look for the manual on line.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the over the range microwave, but I bought the five year extended warranty AGAIN because the last one only lasted four years. The one before that, three. Otherwise I'd give it five stars. I wanted the same model so I could use the old mounting bracket. Installing them with my transmission jack and plywood over the range makes it a fairly easy one man job. (I'm the village idiot. Don't try this at home.)

I know that you can get microwaves that do many other functions today, but I'm just interested in a microwave that functions as a microwave. Installation was not to bad considering I did the majority of it myself and needed help lifting into place before final mounting.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not energy star certified and the exhaust fan is extremely wimpy, but it was cheap and it looks okay. It is very quiet, but that is probably because of the fan. The fan exhausts out the top, right against the top cabinet, so I can for see problems there. It is 1,000 watts, which should be adequate for my needs, and the inner space is larger than the old one...taller and wider. Just okay in my book.
