Great product! Buttons are durable and door is robust

At 3 1/2 years, the cheap door handle broke. GE did give me a new handle for free when I called asking for it. I watched a YouTube video on how to take the door apart to replace it. The estimate for a repair person to do it is about as much as a new microwave ($250+). You know it's a fairly common failure if there are youtube videos on the plastic handle breaking. Not real difficult to take the door apart, except the internal plastic infrastructure is so thin and cheap, I accidentally cracked the plastic framing/infrastructure. Not critical, but it gave me a view into how cheap the plastic is that they use. I would not recommend nor buy again.

This transaction was extremely successful and very easy.

While this is a no frills microwave, it works perfectly for our needs. The installation process was not as easy as I would have liked, but in the long run worked out well.

For a lower end unit it seems to have what we need

I LOVE my new microwave. It is so nice to finally have the space my old one occupied on my cabinet open to use for other things. The convenience of having it over my cooktop is wonderful!!

Great replacement. I had to replace a 20 year old G.E. Unit. Hope this one lasts as long.

Stop asking me to review this item, please. It is part of a complete kitchen demo and remodel and is still in the box. The contractor will remove it from the box and install it when the time comes. (I gave it "average" stars, which seems fair.)

The cheap plastic door handle broke after about a year and a half. Contacted GE online (below) to order new one. They wanted $168.75, plus shipping. They later offered me a discount of $138. Then called a manager at GE, who spoke 10 words for every one word I spoke and then she was upset at me because I was interrupting her speak. She told me the price included genuine GE parts. When I said the original was cheap plastic, she hung up on me. Please save yourself a headache, DON'T BUY GE!!! George: need the door handle for a jvm3160rf3ss ge microwave George: Still there? I had the same type for 10 years. Purchased another

Wish it had two lights over cooktop. Not s high quality as my previous microwave, which was GE and looked the same. Not as many functions as our previous model.. But price was right.
