Intuitive controls and good power, and it doesn't beep every 10 seconds when it's complete, which is a nice change from our old one. Will recommend this microwave to anybody.

The model is completely changed and will not match previously installed models, meaning the installation will need to be from scratch.

If you received a different model than the one you purchased and want to reach out to Best Buy about this, their customer service is available at 1 (888) 237-8289. If you received the model you ordered but aren’t happy with its design, we can advise that as well as similar models being released over time, design changes may also be made to models over the years. For over-the-range microwaves, we can also advise the hardware (including the mounting bracket) that comes with the new unit should be used. Changes may have been made to the hardware design even if the model is the same, and we cannot speak to the compatibility, safety and reliability of using old hardware with a new microwave. Hoping that won't happen to this one, but so far, so good. It's easy to use and cooks the food well. My only complaint about this model, and this is our third one in 17 years, is that over time, the lights over the stove burners below stop working. I'm assuming this is due to being constantly exposed to heat and steam. Other than this, it's a great microwave and my husband installed it by himself in less than 30 minutes! (It helps to use the same model so that the holes line up...)

Installed Built-In Microwave Oven

The installers were very professional. They were neat removing the old microwave and putting the new one in. Installed in two days vs. Home Depot over one week and $50 more for same thing.

This replacement actually cost less and is almost identical to our old micro. 23 years is good service. We're hoping for similar service from our new GE.

The good is that the new model seems to heat food quicker. The not so good is that the mounting flaps on the new wall bracket and the holes for the mounting screws on the top of the unit were not in the same place as the old one, even though it was the same model. It is also louder than the older model. Overall it does a good job and the minor inconveniences are not that big of a deal to me.
