  • GE Microwaves have no longevity

    This is the second GE Microwave I have bought in the last four years. The first one started shorting out after two years and this one the display panel is already malfunctioning after 18 months and whole control circuit board needs to be replaced. Never buy another GE appliance again.

    DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE! Look at 1 star reviews and you will see this microwave will die on you and it's a nightmare to get it replaced. This microwave died exactly 1 year from installation. Fortunately I did pay for Geek Squad protection but, have a funny feeling I will be calling to have it replaced every year. Borrowed my daughters 10 year old microwave to use until this one gets replaced. Appliances now are useless pieces of junk, not like the old days where things were built to last.

    Does a good job of heating food and such. However I cannot see into the microwave during cooking. So boiling over can easily happen and I can’t see. This is a big negative for me. If I had known about this major flaw, I would have chosen a different brand.

    The inside looks like a bad paint job in some places and the electronic panel is already showing signs of wear... this is my 3rd GE microwave in the last 6years, just regular use, only reheating meals. We will see how long this one last...
