    Damaged microwave oven

    Delivery of this item was an absolute disaster. 1 showed up damaged and to get another one delivered quickly was an easy fix. Not purchasing another item from Best Buy. No follow up call(which I was promised) so I’m just going to work with another company

    Inconvenience as it’s best

    Our microwave broke the same day that we have family coming over from out of town.Went to the Best Buy in our city but they didn’t have it in stock so we have to pick it up 40 miles away. Took us 2 hrs drive round trip. We have to hire someone to install it because if Best Buy will have it delivered and installed we have to wait the following week for the item to arrive and we are hosting that weekend so we didn’t have a choice. As soon as we got home and installer has arrived, we took the unit out of the box and the item has been severely dented in the side. Installer took over 4 hours installing it because he has a hard time fitting the dented unit. We were so ready to return it and installer was giving up already but we can’t have people over the weekend with no working microwave. We ended up paying the installer almost the same price as this disappointing unit for the inconvenience and we’re stuck with a microwave that we’re hoping is not going to break anytime soon from the damage of the dent. Waste of time and money!

    Microwave works good but the buttons are coming off and not wven a month old. Not.happy with the quality of material.

    I only bought this because my 4 year old one broke and didn't want to install another bracket. I think it will break in 4 years.

    The microwave looks good but doesn't heat that well. Have to add extra time to recommended food minutes to complete cooking things.

    If you want an inexpensive microwave that works this will get the job done. Design flaws in the clock make it nearly unreadable At 5 ft and shows every finger print

    when we shopped at the store -- none of the microwaves were plugged in AND none were in stock so we had to order and come back to pick it up. It was a couple weeks before we could get it installed. Then we found out that the "push" buttons on the pad do not light up. Even with the kitchen light on it is difficult to read. On line we found numerous complaints about the same problem. VERY disappointed.

    I bought this microwave to replace the one that stopped working in my home because it was noted to be the same model number. Well that wasn't the case ... ok not that big a deal. However, this device has a lot of issues. 1. Closing the door is tough to do and its extremely loud. SLAM! Within a few weeks, the notification beeps started fluttering working/not working. Sometimes there's no beeping at all ... touching numbers, actions and at time completion. Yes it cooks food just fine ... but the fine points of personal interaction are no where near the original unit that we had to replace. I should have bought something else.

While we’re glad your microwave is cooking food well, we do regret there was confusion over it not being the same model number, as well as trouble with the door and notification sounds. We know those issues may have caused concern, and we regret any inconvenience you’ve experienced. We do expect that the microwave door may be harder to close and louder than a previous model; this is often due to a firmer spring in the door latch and is generally normal. We will certainly report your overall experience to our Design team for future consideration; we always want to know what our consumers think of our models, and your insights are appreciated. Regarding the notification beeps, you may want to try completely disconnecting the microwave from power for a couple minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often help. If you are unable to solve that issue and think service may be necessary, that department is available at 1-800-432-2737; a technician would be glad to examine the microwave. We truly appreciate you as a loyal GE consumer, and we’ll work to earn back your trust in our brand as we move forward.     This unit is working well units first few weeks. But it’s replacing another one that broke three times in three years. I don’t like the display, and I know that sounds ridiculous but it’s too bright. Because it’s so bright it causes the display to be a little fuzzy especially at night. So I guess we’ll try again. I got this with the intent that I would keep the old one for the parts that still work. But I’m finding it’s not the same... Yeah...

    Our last GE microwave died after a few years of light service. Thinking it would be easier to install, I bought the closest model. My mistake. After 6 months of normal usage, the handle to open/close the door already is cracked! Plus, the inside of the microwave is not metal - so you can't store your microwave plate cover using magnets. We already ordered a replacement microwave oven. We hate it and regret the purchase.

    Loose vent filters

    Vent filters are not securely in place. One fell off while cooking and often moves when opening and closing the microwave door. Had to use tape to ensure the filters don’t move or fall.

    This is a no-frills microwave. Handle is thin and lightweight and cooking options are less than other. But so far works well and have not had any problems.

    Overall a decent product. While heating, items in the center of the microwave cook faster and often burn. So we have adapted.
