Easy install Fast pickup Great working machine For the price

Very pleased with my new GE 1.7 cu. ft. microwave! Easy to install, runs beautifully, and I just LOVE the slate color!!! The buttons are easy to read and the "add 30 secs" is AWESOME! I needed this to replace a previous GE model that had served it's time. Thank you BEST BUY for having it in stock and delivered quickly!

Considering I paid less than $300 for this, it's very good. I don't need it to do a ton of things, but it's very easy to work with and came completely "pre-loaded" with settings for a variety of items. So far, it's doing just fine. When you select the Express Cook option, it does seem like it's taking a little bit of time for the brain to kick in to figure out wht it's doing. It sorta freaks me out because I keep wondering if it's going to crash and burn. Brains are touchy you know!!

Would definitely buy again. It heats up really Fast and quiet.

Good, but not as good as our last full 35" model. Power is less than expected. One thing better is sound: this is very quiet. Also has some features like reheat that is good.

It is a little pricey for what you get. The intructions are not clear at all when it comes to removing the film. As i was taking the film off, I noticed a film on the inside of the door. So it was removed. Since the film was thicker, I just wanted to confirm that it was supposed to come off or not. There is NOTHING in the instructions about it. I'm lucky that I didn't damage it as when I googled it, On the GE website, it explains not to remove it. Well crap. I was able to re-apply it as it also states on the website that if removed, do not use it and call service.

We love this microwave, mainly because of its looks and the fact that it comes in slate (very few do), but as far as performance, we have had two already that have not lasted long. The first one we inherited when we purchased our house and the house had only been occupied for a year prior to our moving in (so the microwave was only a year old, the house was built a year before). We used it for less than a year before it broke and needed to be replaced. So it had about a 20 month use-life (the GE warranty is only 12 months). We purchased the same microwave to replace it, thinking the first had been a lemon. Fortunately, we also purchased the additional 5-year Geek Squad warranty for $100. After about 38 months of use (a little over three years), this one has also died. So we are waiting for a repair now and do not know if it will need replacing. We waited to post a review until we saw how this one did, but it also did not last too long. If you are purchasing this microwave, spring for the additional warranty because it will not last long. Planned obsolescence at its finest.

Performance, style, and cost I like. Easy to use too!

Easy to install. Well made. Been using it about a month. The only complaint is that it takes too many steps to select a specific amount of cook time. This is really a minor annoyance, as we tend to use the quick cook settings most of the time.

I needed a replacement microwave and I had the Whirlpool appliances in the past which did not last. So I went back to the old reliable “GE”. It’s durable, dependable and looks good. Although, I found the vent system to be useless and poorly designed because the vent is on top instead of face forward and air flow blows all the fumes up onto your cabinet and ceiling which would eventually damage the ceiling drywall and the filters are not made well enough to catch enough of the food grease and particles and smell from cooking. Aside from this flaw, I trust and stand by the GE brand and I still have my GE Profile refrigerator that was purchased in 1994 and it’s still working great.

So many features that enhance your cooking experience. Sensors that determine when your food is cooked perfectly. Just put it in and you're done.

Good price for a GE microwave. Easy to install. Looks good

Our GE microwave stopped working suddenly and we were forced to find a new model after 10 years. We first purchased a GE Profile unit, but was very disappointed. We ordered this unit instead and are very pleased. Also it is 1/2 the price of the GE Profile unit, looks the same and functions the same. We are very pleased with this unit and would recommend.

Have had this for a month...miss the preprogrammed feature for cooking vegetables as in my old unit but can adjust cook time myself. Wish this 1.7 size microwave came in a fingerprint free finish but otherwise I have been pleased. I.t is a nice clean design
