I don't use it every day but under the same circumstances, I would buy it again.

Plastic front finish scratched out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this microwave to replace a GE microwave I have had for sixteen years. Installed easily. Bought the black finish to match my other appliances. Took protective front sticky plastic off and found scratches/abrasive marks directly next to the GE logo/badge. Beyond frustrated, all I see are these scratches/abrasions. The units I replaced was also a black plastic finish and over its life did not show scratches like this. The control pad section to the right of the door is also loose so when I press a button it moves slightly and squeaks, there is no way to tighten it. Very disappointed with the out of the box deliverable.

I bought this one for a replacement. The dimensions are the same so it fits in without having to replace the brackets that hold the microwave. Its just a microwave ... I don't expect much from them other than to work. It seems to heat up food a bit slower though. I used the sensor cooking too and it seems to work (for example heating up tomato sauce without spilling it all over).

This unit does not have all of the functionality of the previous unit, but we caught it a great sale and for the price it was a steal. Haven't tried the sensor mode yet, so that may raise the rating if it works as advertised.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting a while to find a good deal to upgrade to an over the range microwave from my countertop microwave and Best Buy had this on sale for $213 which was a great deal compared to what over the range sensor cooking microwaves usually sell for. I did change the fan to the re-circulation direction which was very simple to do. I'm very happy with the microwave so far.

It was a perfect fit in the allotted space above the oven and needless to say the product has come a long way in renovating since the last microwave that was installed at the time the house was built in 1997 ! It does not sound like a jet engine taking off like the old one when in use , can barely here it . It is easy to use and works great !
