Wrong two letters, should have gone with LG not GE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our previous GE Microwave oven lasted many years so we decided to stick with GE. That was a mistake. I took a day off from work so it could be delivered/installed. Soon as the installer left I put a cup of tea in and hit beverage. The beeps that followed sounded different than our old unit. I looked at the display and it said sensor failure. The sensor is a feature we don't need and didn't want but with supply chain issues the available units had it. Now I have to take another day off from work to let GE come in and see the problem. I asked Paula at 800.432.2737 if the technician would have the parts necessary to repair it. The response was no. I guess I'll be taking a third day off from work for this GE piece of junk. I'm sticking with LG from now on. Haven't had an issue with my refrigerator, washer or dryer.

The buttons are difficult to push, it feels cheap, and because of the design, there is a metal "click" every time it turns on and off that sounds like something is wrong. It works, but i cant wait to replace it.

The control panel shorted out and cost more, $298, for part than it did for the Microwave itself. I ended up buying a different model.

DO NOT BUY ANY GE PRODUCTS

Was a short circuit with the keypad system and has been requested for replaced by my home warranty. This was my first shot at a GE product as I was hoping to have a mix of different brand appliances in my kitchen. At least helps me drop GE from my list for any future purchase.

Likely from the heat and constant open/closing. New door part is $300 which almost don’t make sense vs. buying a new one.

This worked fine. For one year. One year only. So I'm looking at other brands to replace it. And guess how long the warranty is good for? Yup.
