Stopped working after 21 months of use.

Unit stopped heating after 21 months. My last microwave lasted 13 years. Unit started smoking and caused all the smoke detectors in the house to go off. No visible burning inside, I will have to disassemble to find cause of smoke.

Handle is delaminating after 11 months

I purchased this microwave from Best Buy and like some of the other reviewers, my handle is also delaminating. The microwave has a 12 month warranty, but after speaking to GE customer service "cosmetic issues" are not covered. So this must be what GE expects from their products. I will not be purchasing another product from GE.

Replaced older model GE microwave. Silver front looks great & updated the kitchen. Exhaust fan works well & light covers store nicely to view stove top. Enjoy the melt button & preheat. Good size interior.

Multiple sensors blew and now as 10/25/23 it stopped heating and it appears the magnetron is cooked... Less than year... The sensors and design appear to be very flawed in this unit. Whatever you do, don't cook a baked potato, something went every time I tried to cook one for 10 minutes.

We bought this 2 years ago. Within a few days, it had a sensor error and would not heat. Had to have someone come repair it. The handle fell off shortly later, and we had to super glue it back on. The light underneath burnt out in just a couple months, and we only used that at night. We just had the sensor error return, and it’s no longer heating. Worst waste of money.

returned due to over the counter light located at the rear of the microwave making hard to see the front of the stove top. Also , turntable is much smaller than the 1.6 or 1.9 units.

The microwave came without the plate. I spent four hours at the Best Buy spin Columbia Heights in Washington, and nobody was able to help me. They said i had to return the entire thing but I had already paid installation. And nobody helped me further.

Description says that it comes with oven wire rack. Neither the microwave came with rack nor microwave has hook to place a wire rack. I realised this after installing the microwave and bestbuy wont help as the installation is not through geeksquad. Horrible service

The unit I bought was terrible. Within the first year I had to replace the door switch. I've owned this unit for 2 years & 20 days. Now the Magnetron (the part that creates the microwaves) is defective. OF COURSE it only comes with a one year warranty. Pretty sad... the unit looks as good as the day I bought it and is nothing more than a paper weight.

There's good and bad in this review. This Microwave lasted 28 days. Just stopped working. That's the bad. The good is Best Buy handled this situation great. I got another Microwave (a cheaper one) , installed it and it's still working great.

Spent hours installing it only to have the vent motor completely burn out within 2 minutes, which blew smoke into the kitchen. I didn't have to do anything with the vent motor either since it was already configured the way I needed it. Complete waste of time. Don't feel confident trying another one.
