I purchased a microwave on-line. It was ready for pickup in less than an hour. I picked it up directly from the distribution center. The pickup was quick and easy and the loaded it in my truck for me. I got it installed and it works great.

When I was looking to replace my older GE microwave with a new one, I was looking at manufacturers like Whirlpool. But when it came down to price vs quality (reviews) vs features, this one came out ahead. And I’m glad I got it. No complaints!

The microwave itself is beautiful, and deserves 4 stars (I still like my old one better), so I wish I could do a separate rating for customer service. The 1 star is for Best Buy Geek Squad/installation/customer service. Our microwave somehow got damaged along the way and the door doesn't align with the rest of the microwave perfectly, so that it is a bit crooked. We didn't notice until it was installed.
We got our own handyman to install this time, because Best Buy caused a pipe to burst when they installed our washer we got in the Spring. I never complained about it, we just fixed the pipe. I complained about this microwave but they said all they can do is exchange for a new one and charge us for installation again. Fine, but I'm obviously not happy to pay for taking this current damaged one out and installing a new one. We will just deal with it and keep it, although I was hoping for at least a coupon for the fridge I need to buy or something!
But I have to say the Geek Squad lady I spoke with in customer service was SO rude. Hung up the phone quickly as I was still talking, without showing any type of care to even keep me as a customer, and I buy all my electronics from Best Buy and am a member of Total Support. I am always using their card, for like 15 years at least now. We need a new fridge. She didn't care. And I was so friendly with her. She asked why I didn't tell them about the washer, and I said because I'm busy with 3 kids and a full time job and didn't want to go through that trouble of waiting on a phone call and having someone back out etc. We just fixed the pipe, which was easiest. She scoffed rudely and compared her ONE kid to my three saying she wouldn't have been too busy to call. Just overall extremely rude, flat tone, conversation. The AI bot I chatted with previously was friendly though (eye roll). I'm fine keeping this microwave, but it would have been nice to have a better conversation with someone instead of getting rudeness and being hung up on. If I hung up on someone in my job I would be fired.

I love the fact that you can turn the turntable off. Sometimes you have a large item that won't turn. The fan works well as does the lighting. The microwave is much quieter than my old one and looks terrific over the stove. The best part is that I used Best Buy's team to remove the old microwave and install the new one. They were very efficient and cleaned up after they finished.

So far so good with this GE Over-the-range microwave. We have not vented the hood yet, just installed new. Microwave works great and I love that it does not have an obnoxious beep like my old one!

I am in my mid 70's and this installation was barely within my capability. The oven is a bit heavy to lift into place, given the close fit between cabinets and the precise attachment to the wall that is required. I expect to have to hire a handyman to install the next one because this oven looks like it may last longer than my ability to do the work.
We were expecting stainless interior, but found blue porcelain inside like Grannie's old potty. (This model wasn't available for viewing at the store.)

Now this is the microwave we have been chasing for years. Not only does is work perfectly, it simply looks great. Massive room to warm items and button options are fantastic.

The microwave itself works great and has all of the features we need. However, the surface light gets incredibly hot when on high. It is so hot it heats up the inside of the microwave and is dangerous to touch the light fixture. I don't understand why they used a halogen bulb. I would recommend only using the surface light on low.
