Great GE Microwave

We have BB Total so delivery, installation and haul away was no charge. The microwave’s great, offering quick buttons as well as sensor cooking. Easy to transition from previous model to this model. Did not want a Bluetooth enabled product so we stayed with this model and am very pleased with it.

To install I would recommend paying the extra couple bucks to have Best Buy do it. Saves you time. It is a little heavy for one person (although I did).

Missing vegetable setting

Didn't burn my popcorn like my previous microwave did. The only thing I am unhappy about is the lack of a vegetable setting.

Three is a charm

Got another on sale and great price so got 5 year warranty. it lasted two years. After long back and fourth on repair or not to repair they concluded they would replace, warranty only paid what I paid, no more which was $150 difference to replace, so just happens the 1.9 also slate color and more features goes on sale and wow I can get for same warranty price, also got 5 year warranty. Another story about installation but microwave works and looks great so far.

My only quip is that the one sensor that it has that helps the microwave know how long to cook the food on the ceiling of the microwave - so…if butter splatters, it gets on the sensor and then makes it so it no longer will read correctly. It’s not easy to take the sensor out and clean it either - so…I guess just keep everything covered in the microwave? Maybe most people already do that but the microwave has this specific “melt” feature - which works like a dream as long as the sensor is not broken/dirty. I understand the need for the sensor to be where it is in the microwave, I just wish they would’ve put in a way to clean it easily.

Worth the money

Good features for the money. install was a little more difficult for us because the overhead cabinets were not exactly square to the wall and the left hand portion was slightly wider/longer from the center of the enclosed template. The charcoal color on the inside took some getting used to (the original microwave had a white interior). Overall pleased with the product and I especially like not having physical buttons that could potentially break in the future.
