This is a very nice microwave but I gave it only one star with the hope you read this and don't go to all the trouble like I did to install it only to find out the door won't swing open. Let me explain ... if you have a cabinet configuration like I have (see photo) where the cabinet on the door-hinged side of the microwave is deeper than the standard upper cabinet depth (in my case to accommodate a double oven), DON'T BUY THIS MICROWAVE! Once installed, the door will only open a few inches!! Due to the design of this door and its hinge, when the door swings open the left side of it "swings out" so to speak and hits the cabinet almost immediately. My old GE microwave was not an issue because the hinge was designed such that when the door opens, it does not increase the overall width of the microwave and hence doesn't come in contact with the side of the cabinet whatsoever. ONLY BUY THIS MICROWAVE IF YOU HAVE A NORMAL-DEPTH UPPER CABINET ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE MICROWAVE DOOR HINGE.

Beautiful look. Great features & functions. The inside walls are sharp looking with the old school look. Two items worth mentioning ... 1) Only 1 light inside the microwave on the right, so the inside is much darker that our previous GE model. 2) GE removed the night light "set on/off time" feature, so we really miss that. Otherwise, we are in our first month and its working great.

Price was right. Delivery was good. Installation was very will done. Happy customer. Purchase was easy.

Look at the pictures... I regretfully purchased this GE over the range microwave to match two of the other recent GE appliances I purchased for our kitchen (Range and Dishwasher). My perception of GE has always been that it is a high quality brand but this microwave does not live up to that expectation and now my perception has changed. The quality from the factory is not what I expected. I went to install this yesterday and opened the box and the "stainless steel" finishing plate on the door is out of alignment and it makes the door look like it is bent or crooked. If something this obvious left the factory it makes you wonder what else they missed. There must be absolutely no quality control for this to have passed. I didn't even have to take it out of the box or remove any of the plastic and I could see the flaw. Notice the attached pictures with the appliance still in the box. Don't buy this. Even if its cheap or on sale. The problem is if you buy it you'll have to drill a bunch of new holes to install it and then when it fails you'll have yet another set of range install holes in your studs / walls to worry about for the next microwave you buy.

Worked well for about 6 months then a power surge destroyed it.

Great microwave. Love the express cooking times. Mounting was not too difficult.

The microwave heats up fast, and I’ve had no issues with it. The color is grey slate

My last GE Microwave was purchased in 1998. Hopefully I’ll get as many years of use with my new one.

The microwave seems fine function wise, but either faulty manufacturing or delivery fumbling it means the door doesn't sit level with the rest of the unit, about 1/8" off. Juuust enough to be annoying whenever you look at it. Makes you winder what else is bad in the build.

We are very disappointed in the quality of this microwave. We had it for less than a year when the handle started buckling and the material on sides was sharp so dangerous to open. We had to pull it off to make it safe. Now we have to buy a new one because it’s so unsightly and no way to replace the handle.

Just replaced an old GE. Fit the space perfectly. Works great. Love it!!

I got this microwave on 8/30/23. Initially I was satisfied with this product. Fast forward to January 2024, I live in Missouri. It is very cold here this week, below 0 temperatures. I went to use my microwave and there is literally frost on the back wall of the microwave. I have never seen anything like this. I have been in my home for 17 years and only replaced my old microwave because I was changing appliances. I never had any issues with frost in my old microwave. I think this unit is made very cheaply and poor insulation. I do not recommend this product. Stay away, you have been warned. See pictures.

This microwave was just installed a few days ago. I have some damage on the front panel and it appears to be bent on the side also. Other than that it works well.

This microwave is horrible! It has cracked from the heat of the stove and GE will not honor the warranty because it’s considered cosmetic.

Purchased this microwave from the Best Buy Outlet in Eden Prairie. Was told there was nothing wrong with it, but when the contractor went to install, it was crushed. The box looks fine though. And it did not include the mounting plate.

Nice looking and working microwave. Just not happy with venting design. Moisture vents straight up, settling on wood cabinet doors above microwave.

I like the size and the design. It is easy to use. I don’t need to read an owner’s manual to operate it. It fits most dishes. The installation was relatively painless. My only issue was product availability. I had to drive 40 minutes to pick it up because this was not stocked locally.

I’ve been using my GE microwave for a while and overall it performs well. It heats food evenly, is easy to clean, and the controls are simple to understand. The design looks modern and fits nicely in my kitchen. My only complaint is that the touchpad can feel a bit slow at times, but it doesn’t affect daily use much. For the price, it’s a solid and reliable microwave.
