I have gone through GE for the manufacturer warranty. Their contracted technicians have come and gone with parts being ordered multiple times. It is now December 2025 and the microwave is still not fixed. Today I was called to reschedule my fourth service appointment because parts will not be available until January 2026. There is no straight forward process to push through a full replacement because it's not covered under their warranty.

Build quality seems to be up to spec, and I would definitely suggest this unit (1.9 Cu. Ft.) over if you want full rotation when using large plates.

We confirmed the measurements before we purchased it. It fit exactly into the space of the older version. It works just fine and it looks exactly like the old one in terms of its match to the stove and hood setup.

This was the alternative that was immediately available. It is a very nice microwave, relatively quiet, and it functions perfectly. The only other thing that made me sad was that it went on sale for $200 less, one week after our installation.
