    It took a little getting used to because our previous microwave cooked a bit differently. For example, "melt" means just what it says -- it does not "soften" frozen butter. It heats very evenly.

    The underlight is not very bright and it's a halogen. GETS HOT !!! Otherwise it cooks fine. Still trying to get used to the button locations.

    I liked this microwave AND it was on a great sale. It has the steam clean feature and it is literally never dirty! I highly recommend this type of over the range microwave.

    Replacement for 15 year old GE microwave

    So far, it's a solid replacement for our prior GE microwave. It's slightly taller (which required some shaving down of the tile backsplash) and slighting deeper (but not obtrusively so) than the older model.

    This microwave died after only 11 months, only 2 adults in household, and minimal use. Contacted Best Buy only to be directed to their very expensive repair department. Not the first time purchased something from Best Buy that had issues. Done with this company.

    Microwave arrived with installers. Installers opened box to discover microwave scratched in multiple areas. Refused microwave as installers suggested. Installers have not returned with replacement therefore: This serves as notice to cancel this order in its entirety and refund the full amount paid on my visa credit card for the microwave, installers fee and all taxes.     Microwave suddenly died on us after four years while cooking some frozen vegetables. I guess they do not make things like they used to. For the price point, I expected more.

    Good buying experience but installer didn't show u

    Did our research and had a good buying experience at the Menifee location. After waiting 3 weeks for our install date, the installer did not show up. We tried to get help from the service 800#, but its only an automated voice. Tried to call our local store, but automated operator said all staff busy, call later. Finally drove to the store to cancel our order and had to wait for days for store to verify microwave was no longer "in transit" to our house. Can't keep blaming poor service on covid.

    Nice microwave, only problem is that the handle gets very hot when cooking from the stovetop. Hopefully the hard plastic doesn’t start to melt. Other than that, very satisfied!

    This microwave only lasted 2 yrs and 2.5 months. NOT GOOD!! This is the second one that did this from GE. Never again!

    Love the smudge proof of this item had a stainless steel looked horrible when grubby kids touched all over it replaced every appliance with this

    My last GE microwave lasted about 16 years. It was a sure thing to purchase another GE microwave. It runs smooth and is quieter. The sensory cooking is great and heats my food to perfection. Still learning about this one and really like it.

    I love the performance and the heating speed. The melt choice is a plus to avoid butter spilling inside the microwave.

    Good microwave. Only problem is you have to push the buttons a little harder than I'm used to. The color is not exactly black, more like dark grey.

    Everything you would expect from this microwave. The extra functions really make a difference when reheating food and doing specialty heating. Way better than my old microwave.

    Looks great but I need to warm something for two minutes that I used to pop in for one minute in my last microwave. A little disappointed.... Fan is INCREDIBLY LOUD.

    So far very happy with it, a month later. Wonder what that piece is made of that covers the side opening inside. Looks like cardboard, no one mentions it anywhere.

The cardboard cover on the right top or side wall of the microwave interior is there by design. The cardboard (mica) covers the waveguide system that feeds microwave energy into the cavity and should not be removed. The microwave should not be used for any function if this cardboard cover is not in place. If removed, it would require service to replace.     The microwave is great but had to call the technician out when I first got it because the plate on the inside drags when spinning. It was fixed though with a little maneuvering.
