It was; however, a replacement purchase to replace a five-year-old machine that was exactly the same. That was unacceptibly short for replacement.

It works well, but I'm less than impressed with the quality of the construction. Pressing the button to open the door is not a "smooth" mechanism - feels "cheap".

Door made of light weigh material, making door closing noisy. Reheat setting result in food very hot in some areas and very cold in others. Pop Corn setting works very good

With regard to your concerns with the "Reheat" cooking function. Please review the following instructions found on Page 22 of the owner's manual:
The Reheat feature reheats single servings of previously cooked foods or a plate of leftovers.
Place covered food in the oven. Press Reheat. The oven starts immediately.
The oven signals when steam is sensed and the time remaining begins counting down.
Do not open the oven door until time is counting down.
If the door is opened, close it and press START immediately.
After removing food from the oven, stir, if possible, to even out the temperature. Reheated foods may have wide variations in temperature. Some areas may be extremely hot.
If this information does not improve the use the Reheat cooking function we would recommend returning the unit to your local store for exchange.

This one works great, has plenty of room inside, several nice short cut options (Add 30, Express minute keys (6), etc.) Is also attractive on the outside-- sleek, not "clunky". Would buy again.

Thought I put the timer on but turned the microwave on and ran into the other room. It was about 20 minutes before I realized all smoke and everything was contained in the microwave. It’s an awesome quality product

I like the buttons, etc. Only downside is that there is no programming in special cook time as it goes by the minutes, 30 second add, or pre-programmed food types.

If you put it on the RIGHT side, the venting fan will blow on the stove burners, causing them to go out if they are on "low". The finger push pads work, but sometimes need a second or third push to operate. The door latch release (push button) feels clunky and can't any company design a quieter latching system? The full owners manual doesn't come with the oven, just a "Quick Use & Care" guide. You have to call, get put on hold, then speak to a rep to have the full manual mailed to you--in two weeks. You can download it--if you don't mind wasting 18 double-sided sheets of paper to print it out.

The previous one just quit working about 4 months after my Geek Squad 2-yr extended coverage ran out. A local appliance repair shop told me it couldn’t be repaired so I went on the hunt for a replacement, ending up with this same model for the reasons stated above. I feel like a microwave should last longer than a couple of years (my mother is still using one she got 20 years ago) and I would have chosen an alternative product if I had found one that met my needs.

The one we had before no one could figure out how to use it because of a button that had to be pushed in order to use it! This new GE 2.0 Microwave is perfect & heats everything to perfection!
