But as a microwave, it does a great job! I don’t love the stainless steel button to open the door, constantly has fingerprints. But... I know if it looks clean, it is.

Of course the same model is no longer made but it turns out the model we bought is the exact same size. So it fits & we didn’t have to buy a new trim kit.

The difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension. Its prices very fairly and has been a good buy for all the daily use I require in my busy home of five. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have it 4 stars because I was attempting to purchase a microwave that would fit my trim kit. I found out that no trim kit works with it. It is a counter top only. This information from GE was obscure and “discovered” accidentally. Thank goodness for the Geek Squad for discovering what the issue was. I am ordering a different microwave with trim kit to replace the one that went out and this microwave as well. The microwave itself works great.

After doing some research we, THE WIFE, made the decision to purchase this GE model. The wife likes the look, and how it fits in with our other appliances. The keypad is almost identical to our old microwave and everyone in the house got use to operating the new microwave quickly. It works really well and so far, no issues. Most items that we use the oven for are cooked at the same time length, so that is a positive. Here is to hoping it will last a long time.
