Not recommanding this refrigerator
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stopped working and needed repair one year later in December, 2019. Then it broke down in January, 2021 after not even being used much in 2020. It is bad, not recommanded, don't know if it is GE ore Best Buy's fault.

Awful
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this fridge. I have had so many problems with it. Geek squad has came to my home to try to fix it 3 times. The top builds up ice and then the bottom will not get the food cold. Bottom stays at room temperature. Was a total junk.

Great Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this fridge for a little over a week now and we're very pleased. Both the fridge and freezer are a nice size; there's plenty of room to store lots of food. If I had a complaint it would be that the shelves in the fridge are not far enough apart to fit a two littler on any shelf. We actually ended up making one of our shelves about 4-6 inches tall so that the bottom shelf was tall enough to fit two liters. However, we've managed to make it work and found that we have several items that are short enough to fit on that oddly sized shelf. LOL. I definitely notice from time to time when it's running more often than our old fridge, but I wouldn't say it's loud by any standards. I also like that the fridge and freezer have separate controls to keep things just right in both. Actually, the fridge often runs very cold at a low setting! If purchased from Best Buy, their Geek Squad protection seems to be the best warranty for the price by far. Overall, pleased with the purchase and would recommend.

A great simple fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit to replace my dying 5-yr old Kenmore fridge. As a kid we had a GE fridge that lasted well over 20-yrs so when it was time to get a new one I told my wife this time it has to be a GE brand. I loved how quiet this unit was compared to the Kenmore. The fridge temp is maintained just below 40. The white LED light is very nice. There is no light though in the freezer but I can live without it. The inside is spacious and the door shelves are wide enough for dairy and condiments. If you're looking for a simple big fridge I highly recommend this.

Horrible delivery experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My refrigerator was delivered without parts--screws to hold on handles and plugs for side handle was not on. My old one was taken away and then I found out they didn't have the parts and it would take 2 more 4 hour windows to be home to get the parts if they have them. Also it was not leveled properly. It is loud but I may still like it if I ever get it assembled. I will never buy from Best Buy again.

6 months later and it's not working
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this after the Kenmore fridge I'd purchased brand new stopped working completely after 2 months. This one had similar size and features (i.e. very basic, which is what I wanted), and similar price. Initially it worked pretty good, but like the Kenmore, it did not seem to keep things very cold. I had to keep turning the dial to "colder" to keep things like milk from spoiling within a couple days. However, it at least continued to work marginally well, and unlike the Kenmore, I did not need to turn it to the very coldest setting to keep everything from becoming room temp. However, tonight I opened the freezer to look for something. I took out several items and replaced them. Closed it back up. Didn't think much of it. Then a couple hours later I went in to freezer to get some of those Otter pops that come in liquid form that you place in freezer to turn to popsicles. None had frozen. Not even an ice crystal. I had bought some a week or so ago that froze within an hour. So that seemed weird. I took them out of the box and spread them out in the freezer. An hour later, nothing. And I noticed that the other popsicles I had in there were starting to get soft. I turned the dial up and left it. Came back 20 minutes later and the fridge still hadn't turned on. I tried it again. Nothing. The light still works, so it's not the electrical. Seems the refrigeration, either the thermostat or the compressor, just stopped working. So I now have a fridge and freezer full of food that I'm guessing will be bad by tomorrow. I have no idea why I have such bad luck with refrigerators, but this is truly ridiculous. Will be calling store tomorrow for what I hope is a replacement.

Decent, but rusting within months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no complaints about the refrigerator itself, but we've only had it for three months and there are already rust spots all over the door. We haven't used any harsh cleaners or done anything else unusual, so this is unacceptable. Don't buy the stainless version!
