Also , the bottom door shelf makes NO sense! Really small and sits way far back and beneath next shelf up! Quite unusable! Seems to cool well and hopefully, will be less expensive as far as electricity usage.

Buy this one instead of the Whirlpool
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you are torn between this one and the cheaper Whirlpool one, get this one. I had the Whirlpool one delivered and was very disappointed in it upon arrival. It is shoddily built and ended up being extremely noisy. It buzzes and hums about 75% of the time. I could hear it over my tv. I ended up returning it for this one and am much happier with the GE product. It is almost exactly the same but better made with sturdier drawers and shelves. It does not make anywhere near as much noise either. I have only had it for a day so here's hoping I am still happy with it much further down the road.

Best Buy provided little assistance in correcting this. Awaiting help from GE but poor operation reflects on Best Buy and a better process for obtaining assistance should be provided.

Too Deep
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This refrigerator is very deep. I have to use a reacher to reach items at the back of the shelves. I absolutely hate when I have to look for something on the shelves. I've considered getting rid of it, but I can't afford to. I also don't like the fact that there is no light in the freezer. Other than that the refrigerator is fine. I have not experienced it being noisy except for the ice maker.

I need to be careful otherwise my frozen food will thaw when the door pops open. My husband doesn’t want to bother to return it.

Posted .We'd like to assist with your refrigerator's freezer door popping open. It's not unusual on a two-door refrigerator for one door to pop open when the other door is being closed. The first step we recommend is to check the leveling legs. The front of the fridge should be slightly higher than the back to allow the door to close normally. When properly adjusted, the door will close smoothly and firmly on its own. You can find instructions on leveling your refrigerator in the article "Refrigerator - How to Level" on our GE Appliances website. If this doesn't prove helpful, we recommend you check to see if the refrigerator door gasket is sealing properly. If not, wash the entire gasket with baking soda and water (1 part baking soda to 3 parts water), especially on the hinge side. Then, lubricate the hinge side of the gasket with paraffin wax (not candle wax). Keeping the gaskets clean and lubricated prevents them from dragging and restricting door closure. You can find additional tips on preventing the freezer door from popping open in the article "Refrigerator - Freezer Door Pops Open" on our GE Appliances website.

We live in south Florida so it was important that we get a good quality fridge for the garage. We originally looked to but it at Lowes but they were out of stock plus the charged a $50 delivery fee. We ordered ours from Best buy on a Friday night and it was delivered Monday for free.

Lots of Room

Have been using it in a sun room during the winter and it has worked well. This room will get hotter come summer so will have to see how it does. It is noisy. I would not use it in the house.

Only design comment is that the bottom door shelf is much smaller than the middle door shelf above it, so it is easy to not see the items that you store in the bottom door shelf. The delivery folks did a great job installing it and making sure all is fine before leaving. Overall, a great experience!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a new Fridge in a hurry and Best Buy had one available for pickup in 3 days, and was then ready for pick up in 2 days. I did not want an Ice Maker or water dispenser and this one fit the bill. No Light in the freezer, but a minor issue all things considered. It's been up and running for 4 days and working Great. Freezer is Ice Cold below Zero, and contrary to a few Reviews, the Fridge section is Very Cold at around 40 degrees. Also this Fridge is VERY Quiet. Lots of room with 21.9 cubic feet, but my one Con is the Limited ways the shelf's can be arranged to make better use all the space more efficiently. Other than that ... I'm happy with the way it's working and will see how it goes in the long run. I would recommend it if you're looking for a decent no frills Refrigerator at a fair price.
